Hannah works to communicate the vision of Mission Network through her work with both the Communication and Church Relations departments. She is passionate about telling the stories of God’s work in the world and building relationships with congregations and individuals around the world. Hannah will be speaking about SOOP which is one of Mennonite Mission Network’s Christian Service programs that lets people and families of all ages work together to design a customized, short-term service experience that fits their interests. She will talk about the program’s history, stories from past participants, and all sorts of current service opportunities.

This presentation by John & Jean Kaufmann, owners & operators of Jean’s Iris Patch in Okemos, MI.
The focus of this presentation will be about tall bearded iris; the most common of several basic types. Iris are an important part of any ornamental garden because they express the widest range of colors and patterns of any flower and provide unique foliage during the non-flowering season. This presentation will cover the basics of iris culture including soil preparation, planting, transplanting, dead heading, vegetation removal, fertilization, irrigation, and control of diseases, insects and weeds.
