Camp Descriptions 2010

The week begins Sunday at 6:00 pm with check in and ends Friday at 6:00 pm with our final campfire (Cottontail camp will end Wednesday at 6:00 pm). Parents are encouraged to join us for this end of the camp event. The week will be filled with plenty of activities, such as: worship, cabin devotions, sports, mud hikes, swimming, boating, ultimate frisbee and drama. We will also be using our activity center. This has volleyball, basketball, climbing wall and a game room. For more information about these camps, this summer's theme, or to register, please go to our home page and register online. Camp-Specific Highlights & Notes

~Staff Orientation Week . . .June 13-18 . . . just to calm the confusion, this is not a camp that you can send your wonderful children to. It is actually the "final leg" in our journey to prepare quality young adults to serve as staff for this upcoming summer! Although, if you wanted to send a care package for them . . .

~Blue Jay Camp . . . June 20-25 . . . Grades 4-6* . . . a first full-week experience offered by Menno Haven for younger campers-to-be.Camp runs from Sunday at 6 PM thru Friday at 6:30 PM.

~Trailblazer Camp . . . June 27-July 2. . . Grades 7-9* . . . trailblazer is the perfect blend of mature teaching and crazy fun games for junior high aged youth. Camp runs from Sunday at 6 PM thru Friday at 6:30 PM

~Chipmunk Camp . . . July 11-16. . . Grades 5-7* . . . as the name indicates, this is always a very high energy camp. Camp runs from Sunday at 6 PM thru Friday at 6:30 PM.

~High School Camp . . . July 18-23. . . Grades 10-12* . . . from the hyper worship to the exciting full-camp games to the coffee house banquet, this week is what your looking for to complete your summer! C'mon, seriously though, just ask your parents to assume your car payments for a week and come on down. Camp runs from Sunday at 6 PM to Friday at 6:30 PM.

~Cottontail Camp . . . July 18-21. . . Grades 3-5* . . . looking for that first overnight experience away from home? Cottontail is a shortened week introducing the camping world to younger campers in a loving atmosphere. It's lots of fun! Camp runs from Sunday at 6 PM thru Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Unique Camp Experiences

~Adventure Camp . . . July 25-30 . . . Grades 7-9* . . . Like the usual format of camp but want a little more adventure while you are here? Then this is the camp for you! You will have the opportunity to traverse our High Ropes course and Initiatives elements, as well as play all-camp games with more adventuresome twists and dimensions. Camp runs from Sunday at 6PM to Friday at 6:30 PM.

Family Camp. . . July 2-5. . . Specifically designed for families to enjoy a relaxed camp at their own pace. Popular activities include crafts, shaving cream wiffle ball and worship. Camp runs from 8:00 PM on Friday thru noon on Monday. *Please note the schedule change.

*Grades are for 2010-11 school year. For home-schooled campers, please use grade-equivalency
