Beautiful scenery and exercise for a good cause await participants in third annual
Bike for Menno Haven event on Saturday, July 19, 2008.

Bike enthusiasts and Menno Haven supporters alike are invited to participate in this bike-a-thon to raise money for the ministries of Menno Haven Camp & Retreat Center.

Bike for Menno Haven is a one-day family event offering rides for all ages and skill levels, from 13 miles to 80 miles. Limited lodging is available in the bunkhouses Friday night, or bring your tent.

Registration begins at the pavilion at 6:30am. Please time your start to complete your chosen route before 1:30pm. A continental breakfast will be available.

All routes begin and end at Menno Haven. Cyclists will ride a segment of the Hennepin Canal Trail in addition to paved county roads. Please be aware that cyclists will share the roads with motorized vehicles. Bureau County’s terrain is flat to rolling.

Snacks, drinks and restrooms will be available at the planned rest stops. A post-ride meal will be served at the pavilion from noon until 1:30pm. Showers are available at the bathhouse.

 Meanwhile, mark your calendars. You have plenty of time to get in shape by July 19!
